love, Beaumont

November 3, 2026
THE WEEK AHEAD · NOVEMBER 3–8

Hello, Beaumont

Beaumont gets its first official Veterans Day parade this Saturday. It steps off at 10 from Rogers Park, and it was planned so veterans of every ability can take part.

Then head downtown. The Art Crawl opens studio doors from 2 to 6, and TASI keeps it going at 7 with its tenants show.

And Thursday, bring a lawn chair to the McFaddin-Ward House. It's free, it's outside, and Jimmy Simmons is playing big band.

My Picks

Three worth your week.

THURSDAY
Music at the McFaddins' with Jimmy Simmons & Friends · McFaddin-Ward House east lawn, 1906 McFaddin Ave. · Gates 6 PM, music 6:30–8 · Free. Big band classics through modern hits from Lamar's President Emeritus and his band. Bring blankets, chairs, and your own drinks. If the weather turns, it's cancelled.

SATURDAY
Inaugural Veterans Day Parade · Rogers Park, 6540 Gladys Ave. · 10 AM · Free. The Mayor's Veterans Coalition's first parade loops from Rogers Park down Gladys, up Dowlen, through the library grounds and back. Find a spot on Gladys or Dowlen and wave.

SATURDAY
Downtown Beaumont Art Crawl · Downtown Beaumont · 2–6 PM · Free. A self-guided walk through artist studios, creative businesses, and nonprofits. Wear good shoes, then stay for the TASI opening at 7.

Graphic: Beaumont CVB

More than forty local places are taking part, from 1701 Barbecue and Katharine & Company to Rosie's Soul Food, Tacos La Bamba, Tia Juanita's, Bon Vivant, Vautrot's and the Logon.

Here's how it works.

Get the free digital pass. You sign up right on the CVB page, link below. It's how you check in.

Check in everywhere you eat. Every check-in earns points toward prizes. The restaurant with the most takes the Chomp Champ title. Oz Cafe won it last year.

Bring a can of something. New this year is the Hunger Hero, for whichever restaurant collects the most non-perishable donations for local food banks. Look for the donation box.

Deals are set by each restaurant, so check your spot before you go.
