THE WEEK AHEAD · OCTOBER 20–26

Hello, Beaumont

The weather finally turned. The windows are open, the AC is getting a well-earned break, and a pumpkin spice latte finally makes sense in this heat-free air. The leaves are coming down, and the Halloween countdown is on.

There's a spooky movie at the Jefferson every night this week, a ball in the Botanical Gardens on Friday, and costumes and candy bags all over the area on Saturday.

This week's Halloween picks are in one spot below, and the full Halloween guide has everything through the 31st. Pick one night, put it on the calendar, and let the rest be a bonus.

Welcome to cozy season.
