THE WEEK AHEAD · OCTOBER 27–NOVEMBER 2
Hello, Beaumont
Halloween lands on a Saturday this year, so Beaumont gets the whole week.
There's a trunk-or-treat most evenings, the last five nights of spooky movies at the Jefferson, and a Saturday that runs from a costumed 5K downtown to a dance party at the Logon.
This week's Halloween picks are below, and the full Halloween guide has everything through the 31st. I added a few new ones this weekend.
And one practical note: clocks fall back early Sunday morning. Enjoy the extra hour. You’ve earned it.
My Picks
Three worth your week.
THURSDAY
Howl-O-Ween Adoption Event · Beaumont Animal Care, 1884 Pine St. · Thursday and Friday, 10 AM–4:30 PM. Adoption fees are cut for two days, and every pet still goes home spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. If there's been an empty spot on the couch, this is the week to fill it.
FRIDAY
Get Wicked in the Thicket: Halloween Cruise · Beaumont RV & Marina, 560 Marina St. · 5:30 PM · Ticketed. Board the Ivory Bill with the Big Thicket Association as the sun goes down on the Neches, with spooky river stories, Bigfoot tales, and tarot readings on board. The most Southeast Texas way to spend Halloween weekend.
SATURDAY
Halloween Band Nite at TASI · The Art Studio, 720 Franklin St. · Doors 7 PM, music 8 · $5 at the door, all ages. Four local bands playing their own music, from shoegaze to hip-hop to hard rock. Wear the costume.
